The University Police will be conducting a sobriety road check on campus,  within the next few weeks.  The purpose of this check point will be to educate the driving public as to the dangers of impaired driving as well as to enhance our enforcement efforts in this critical area.  Educational materials will be distributed to motorists who pass through the check point.  We look forward to the cooperation of the Binghamton University community as we begin this campaign to improve the safety on our roadways.  Additionally, during the coming weeks, we will be putting additional patrols in the field who will focus their enforcement efforts on detecting and apprehending impaired drivers.
